Our approach

OMG Pro helps families find local activities, and we take the safety of children seriously. This statement explains what we check, what we don't, and what to do if you're worried about a child.

How OMG Pro is designed to protect children

  • No accounts for children. Only adults aged 18 or over can create accounts.
  • No messaging with children. Enquiries go from adults to clubs only. There is no chat between clubs and children.
  • Minimal children's data. We never ask for children's photos, school names or full names. Family details are private to the parent who adds them.
  • Labelled listings. Every listing shows whether it is Unclaimed or Verified, and paid placements are always labelled.
  • What we check, and what we don't

    We check

    We don't

That a claimed club's ABN is active

    Run background checks on anyone

That the club has declared it meets NSW Working With Children Check requirements for its staff and volunteers

Check each individual's WWCC or the club's records (unless the club holds the Safety Sorted Child Safe badge, which has its own published criteria)

Reports and complaints we receive about a listing

Inspect premises, supervise sessions or monitor clubs day to day

A badge is not a guarantee of safety. Parents should always make their own enquiries.

    Questions to ask any club

  • How do you check that your coaches, teachers and volunteers hold a valid WWCC?
  • What is your child safe policy, and who is your child safety contact?
  • How do you supervise children, including in change rooms and when travelling?
  • What happens if my child is injured or if there is a complaint?
  • Are you a member of a governing body, and are you insured?
  • If you are worried about a child

If a child is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000).

    Reporting a listing to us

Use Report a listing on any club page or email [safety@omgpro.com.au]. We aim to review safety reports within [1 business day]. Depending on the concern, we may hide or suspend the listing while we look into it, contact the club, and refer the matter to the right authority. Reporting to us does not replace reporting to the police or the Child Protection Helpline.

    Safety Sorted

Safety Sorted is a work health and safety consultancy also run by Organise Me Group Pty Ltd. Clubs can choose to use Safety Sorted to keep a WWCC register and work towards the Child Safe badge. Using Safety Sorted is never required to be listed or Verified on OMG Pro.
