Safety & privacy

Draft for the pilot. Have a lawyer review it before launch.

Our child-safety commitment

  • Unclaimed listings contain public information and are not marked verified. We review claimed clubs before marking them verified on OMG Pro.
  • Claimed clubs confirm their ABN and that they meet NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) requirements for their staff and volunteers.
  • We review the information provided during the claim process. A verified badge does not mean we continuously monitor staff or volunteer WWCC status.
  • Any change a club makes to its listing goes back to review before it shows.
  • Children never have accounts on OMG Pro.
  • Adults and children can't message each other directly. When parent–club messaging is added, messages will be kept and our team can review them.
  • Anyone can report a listing. You don't need an account. We review every report within [1 business day], and child-safety reports the same day.

Safety Sorted — what the purple badge means

Safety Sorted shield

The purple shield on a club's card or page is the Safety Sorted mark. It means that club claimed its listing and our team reviewed its ABN and confirmed it meets NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) requirements for its staff and volunteers.

  • What we check: the club's ABN is active and belongs to that business, and the club confirms it meets WWCC requirements.
  • What we don't check: we don't inspect premises, watch sessions, or track whether an individual worker's WWCC is renewed. You can check a worker yourself at ocg.nsw.gov.au.
  • No badge? The listing hasn't been claimed yet, so it shows public information only and hasn't been reviewed.

Safety Sorted is the safety and compliance side of OMG Pro. It helps local clubs and community groups get their child-safe policies, WWCC registers and risk assessments in order. It is a review and support service, not a government certification or accreditation.

Privacy

OMG Pro follows the Australian Privacy Principles.

  • What we collect: your name, email and password to run your account. We also keep anything you send a club and any reports you make. Our systems record your IP address, device and usage data, and cookies.
  • Children's information: we don't ask for children's names, birthdays or photos. Please don't include them in messages or reports.
  • Sharing with clubs: when you register interest, only your name, email and message go to that club.
  • Verification details: only the club and our admin team can see them.
  • Storage: your data is stored [in Australia / with [provider] in [country]].
  • We never sell your data.
  • Access and deletion: you can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. We may keep reports and safety records where the law requires it or to protect children.
  • Questions or complaints: contact [privacy@omgpro.com.au]. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

AI matchmaker

When you use the Match me feature, the text you type (interests, age group, location and schedule) is sent to our AI provider to generate club suggestions. It is used only to create your recommendations and is not stored by us.

Please don't enter children's names, birthdates or any other identifying details into the matchmaker — describe interests and needs in general terms instead.

Terms of use

  • Clubs are responsible for their own activities, staff and volunteer screening, WWCC verification and insurance.
  • "Verified" on OMG Pro means a claimed club's ABN and WWCC requirements have been reviewed. It doesn't mean we endorse the club or guarantee its safety. Parents should do their own checks. You can verify a worker's WWCC yourself at ocg.nsw.gov.au.
  • We may hide or remove listings or accounts that break these rules, or where we have a safety concern.
  • Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Fill in the bracketed items before launch: the response time, where data is stored, and the contact email. When you send this to the lawyer, also ask whether OMG Pro falls under the Children's Online Privacy Code, and re-check each state's number against the official state site before launch (the QLD after-hours number especially).
